That has to be one of the best phrases ever!

I'm honored and beyond excited to participate in the Inky Mysteries, I just hope I'm up to the challenge of giving an adequate description. Being new to all this I don't have the vocabulary or frame of reference you pros do, but I'll do my best!
All I do is scribble a few lines, and sketch a flower or something. You'll do fine.
My other pen is a Montblanc.

And my other blog is a tumblr!

I don't doubt, but circumstances have decided I'm to have rather different entertainment as Pa Weevil finally has an appointment for something he should have had done in April (thanks Covid), and I will be up to my ears playing nurse. Not sure who is more worried about that - me or him.

    Good Afternoon!

The ink flights for MI #30 and MI #31 are now closed.

Since we only have 3 participants from the US, I have the funds for all of the International sign-ups for this round.

    { We hope grainweevil will be able to join us for the next Mystery Ink flights. }

mreeveshp, could you please PM me with your name and address? I have all the other participant’s addresses on a sheet of paper somewhere at home.

International Ink Flights will be mailed out on Saturday. US participants will have their Ink Flight packets mailed on Tuesday, 22 September. ( I will be on the road on Wednesday, hence the earlier shipping date.)

Thank-you very much for participating in this Mystery Ink round!!

    All the Best.

All international Ink Flights were mailed out this morning by USPS International First Class. The US Ink Flights will be prepped tomorrow and mailed out on Tuesday 22 September.

It has been suggested by Ptero that the reviews be done one at a time as has been done in the past. I will leave that up to the participants to decide. My only rule is to have FUN with the inks ( and don't allow small children or pets to have access to the sample vials. )

    All the Best.

Thank you junglejim I'm looking forward to receiving them.

When we had MI's 28 and 29 it was a new idea to do them both together, as they are both on the same thread, so I plan to do the same as we all did last time.

I agree with ptero, I will probably use the same pen I always used before and review them as it was done before when azkid was doing this game, I will do the inks sequentially so we can focus and guess on one then work on the other.

And I will probably do like I did before and give the poor man perspective on very cheap paper and decent printer paper since I'm not able to afford constantly buying fountain pen paper.

But I'm very excited to see what comes and can't wait to see all the reviews. This is a very fun game and no matter what we should all be grateful that jungle has taken up the mantle and is willing to spend the money for shipping even during these hard times, so thank you again for doing this. It is such a great way to get our minds off of this pandemic and just have some fountain pen fun.

    Thanks Jim

assuming that all participants received the samples by now I would like to start the reviews.

Jokes aside, sorry for being so impatient, but I can´t wait any longer.
See it as an appetizer to shorten the time until you receive the inks.

I could torture you with a darker shade if you'd prefer...

To my surprise I seem to have several inks that appear to amble in the same ballpark as that one. It'll be interesting to see if it turns out to be any of them.

I haven't received my samples yet but am looking forward to trying them out. I'm confident they will be worth the wait.

It would be appreciated if you would not post any ink sample swatches on this thread until *after* the Mystery Ink participants have had a chance to receive and post their samples and impressions. If you would like to post them on the "Guess the Ink" thread, then please do...

    Many thanks!

    All the Best.
