    Default Safety pen

I have a question about this pen. THE MONDIAL SAFETY PEN". Colombus NIB I learn...
This is an Italian pen and it is a safety-pen. Anyone have any experience in those Italian pens. Even the nib looks odd in this pen.
I bought once an inlay safety pen and it was with an oblique nib. It was a waste of money as I found it was not working or writing all the time pining into the paper
Any thoughts on these pens.?? And thank you all..

These safety pens were made using the same design as the popular Waterman safety pens.

I have one branded Atlantica (also Italian), and I also have this one from France:

The nib is whatever came with these pens, so some of them are good, others not so much.

But when restored correctly, these can be good writers. I have restored about 4 of these, one being a genuine Waterman. Could have been more, but some came broken parts inside.

The nib looks like someone tried to cap the pen without fully retracting the nib.

Like @KBeezie said, I think the nib is broken.

The photo isn't detailed enough to conclude that the nib is not repairable.

Nibs on vintage pens are common to have some bends or damage. But vintage nibs are also resilient -- I am talking only about 14K nibs, not steel alloy ones -- so there is a good chance they can be repaired as long as the tines are not the one broken.
