Relax. 'Twas a joke. I gave it away in Pay It Forward.

Fred was being sarcastic. It's available for free in the "Pay it Forward" section. One of the problems with the internet is you can't convey sarcasm, lol.

Someone mentioned Ebony Blue. That was the color I had.

    End of an era. RIP.
My other pen is a Montblanc.

Currently itˋs not too late to stock something.

I have to admit that I was never a big fan of Private Reserve inks, e.g. my P.R. Tanzanite developed SITB, but after I began reading this thread I‘ve ordered some bottles P.R. Ink („The Writing Desk“ had still many colors in stock).

I liked the color of Tanzanite, but not itˋs behavior. Electric DC Blue which I also own is a nice color ..... color wise they have/had some interesting once’s.

Who knows, maybe some of their inks get hyped when they will be no longer available. (Like MB Racing Green, or Parker Penman Sapphire,...).

MB Racing Green was never a popular ink when it was still in production, but after they stopped producing it it got hyped that somebody could get the impression it is a must have ink and it was the most successful ink in the Montblanc ink line (which it was definitely not).

S'funny, I went and had a look there too, and almost thought about getting a bottle of DCSSB simply because it'd remind me of the Guess the Ink thread. Then I remembered I'd never had any inclination to buy it before, have heard dreadful things about the inks generally, and this was just a severe case of what we now call "FOMO". So I came to my senses. Maybe down the line I'll regret it, but then maybe I'd have regretted getting it much sooner.

Imagine the regret if you transferred the SITB fungus across your inks and pens. There are cures, but IMHO, it's not worth it.

    Exactly.

Although if it turns out I could have kept the unopened bottle and sold it for fifty quid somewhere down the line, that may prove scant comfort...

I will have to look on the shelf. PR ink was smudgy so used little after buying some as I recall.

Let’s see did the picture add? I do have some DC Electric Blue with about 2 ml out of the otherwise full bottle.

IMHO DC Electric Blue is a nicer colour than DC Supershow Blue. If I was to buy only one bottle that would be the colour.

(In case no one has mentioned...)

FYI- Both Bert (Bertram's Inkwell) and Dale (Opus Mechan) still have stock of PR Inks- They both did get a stock of the newer bottles/formulas before Darla became too ill to continue. Just helping out! I have a few favorite PRI Colors myself! ;-)

I just checked Vanness -- my favorite shop -- and Bert's Inwell. Both are very low on PR. Vanness has 4ml samples of the all-star blue inks, such as DC Electric, American, DC Super show, but most of the regular bottles are out of stock. Same with Bert, although he seems never to have carried the samples.

A sad end-of-the-line for a great line of inks.
