Default Noodler's Churchill True Blue Anti-Fascist Ink

Leave it to NT. At first when I saw it posted I thought it was a put-on, but it looks to be a store exclusive, and possibly for the Dallas Pen Show? (maybe penwash can fill us in...). In any event, it looks legit. And at least partly confrontational.

He doesn't represent my politics at all, but the confrontational appeals to the artist in me. He would indeed be easy to spoof because he's such a character.

I agree. I like the name better than blue, blue black, or what not. But this one has the subtlety of a sledgehammer

Well, according to Dromgoole's, the properties of this ink are awesome:

    • Bulletproof
    • Slight sheening
    • Anti-feather
    • Anti-fascist

Of course, this is where the clever, tongue-in-cheek humor is supposed to protect him from criticism. Except that, in these times, fascism really is a thing, and he damn well knows it. It's not a punch line or a marketing angle, unless you are this kind of person.

He's harmless. Of course one never really knows another person, but I doubt he thinks in terms of "marketing angles" and definitely not "punch lines" - witness the feature length plotless videos. He may well think this is tongue-in-cheek though. But that just makes him another colorful person in the wide spectrum of American characters.

I'm Canadian and living at a safe distance, so perhaps these things don't touch a raw nerve as much at it may locally.

Yeah, that's probably it! I find him an insufferable twit who can go on and on about his libertarian proclivities in a remarkably shallow manner. He makes a few good inks but I long ago tired of his shtick. I have one or two inks of his that I have used for years and enjoy, but that's about it.

The ink was introduced as part of a series at the Commonwealth Pen Show in 2019. The inks as part of the series were:

    - Anti-feather Blue (featuring Winston Churchill)
    - Anti-feather Green (Audie Leon Murphy)
    - Anti-feather Red (Lyudmila Pavlichenko)
    - Anti-feather Brown (Claire Lee Chennault)
    - Anti-feather Purple (King Phillip - Requiem)

    https://youtu.be/d-2DTuq8hyM?t=3200

These inks came out last year. They're just now showing up as spare quantities at Vaness, Dromgoole's, and others.

They extend and fill-out the line starting with Noodler's Ink X-Feather (Black).
