I have a Visconti fine nib that has already lost some of it's Ruthenium Plating. Does anyone know of a safe way to remove the rest of the plating from the nib without scratching or damaging the nib itself?

If you're in the US you could send it to Silver Pen Parts.

I apologize.
I had work done on a two-tone jowo, where materials were rhodium/18k gold. Michael removed the rhodium and engraved a new logo. This indicates the possibility that he could remove ruthenium, but does not confirm it. You ll have to email Michael for the details.
Edit: this can be usually done with a buffing wheel afaik from my talks with Brian @ Edison for two-tone jowo nibs...
