    Default David Hockney's Montblanc

One of the images from an article about his latest New Yorker cover. Some interesting bottles of ink too.

Thanks for posting. although I couldn't navigate the article very well, I am sure it was down to my computer.

I have been collecting Hockney since 1970, although he is the last person I would have thought would be using an MB.

Surprised me a bit too. In my head he got it decades ago, the investment in lasting quality justifying the expense to a Yorkshireman.

There's a Hockney exhibition coming up in London in March

Are those Windsor and Newton drawing inks next to the MB?

Where does it talk about a pen or inks? I searched for the article for "ink", "pen", "mont" and "blanc", and none of those terms occur in the article. What am I missing?

The pen on the table in the foreground of the picture has an impression of a pen, with a snowflake on the cap.

And Sennelier? (based on a partial label). Hope he's not using any in the MB.

The drawing doesn’t impress me at all, it seems he had his peak quite a while ago.

What is impressive is how high his pieces are traded, the art collector market isn’t rational, once you have a name/reputation you can sell everything.

    Thanks for sharing.
