Default How to protect Android from Viruses

Help me to choose the best adware remover android. I have already tried some of them but they were not effective. Maybe you can suggest what you currently use. I need a software that will scan my phone periodically and will protect my Android in real-life mode.

Best option is not to install apps on your phone, especially free to use ad based ones.

Installing software from outside Google play store is a absolute no go (as well as modifying the OS itself with mods).

Keeping a Android phone up to date (regarding OS) is often not possible as most of the manufacturers rarely update their phones (beside the Google made phones).

For me that is the key difference between Android phones and iPhones.
Itˋs not that the hardware or Software itself is superior on one or the other side.
For an Android phone updates are seldom to non existent, iPhones get updates regularly for several years, you always have an up to date OS.

This together with rigid restrictions e.g. not to allow installation of apps outside the App Store and to restrict communication from and to the phones make iPhones much more secure on the long run.

I was going to say "Buy an iPone," but figured it would come across as being snarky. But I will admit, security and regular updates over a long useful life are some of the reasons why I have an iPhone and iPad. I also don't like underwriting the price of the phone with a deluge of ads. I used my iPhone for almost 6 years, with just one battery replacement.

I had Kaspersky, but switched to McAfee Total Protect three years ago and haven't looked back.

I've been used Bitdefender and now Webroot on mine. I avoid installing apps that arent fairly mainstream (i.e. popular). Mine is a Pixel 2 so I get very regular updates.

Avast Antivirus has always worked well for me.
