    Default WATERMAN RED NIB.

I bought a Waterman Vintage "Keyhole *Red* nib".
Which body that fits the nib? Please .
This nib is a hard nib but better than the MANIFOLD HARD NAIL NIB.
What is your experience about No7 pens with a RED Nib . Thank you for your share !!

You need either a No. 7 or a No. 5 section, barrel and cap (in either red ripple hard rubber, or jet black plastic), depending on whether it's a No. 7 or a No. 5 nib.

IMHO, the No. 5 red ripple pen caps are more elegant than No. 7 pen caps.

I have found enough of the Waterman 94s and Ink Views in the wild with Keyhole "Color" nibs to wonder if Waterman sold some of them that way. As to the #7 Red, I have one in a Ripple, which I really like. For a general purpose nib, mine seems very flexible. I also have a Red #5 in reverse trim black celluloid which is the more typical slightly flexible signature style nib.

Fred, I agree that the flared crown on the 5 ripple is pretty distinguished. Unfortunately, the one I have has a heavily brassed clip which detracts.

    Default WATERMAN RED NIB.

Yes, I forgot about those other model celluloid Waterman pens such as your 94 that used the color nibs. Waterman InkVue pens turn up with color nibs, too. They might be easier to find than the ripple or jet black pens, and just swap out the nib for a color nib.

None of my Waterman Pens takes this nib. It is No7 . So it is the biggest nibs I have. Out of all my vintage pens only one pen take that nib. It is English Platignum pen, very underestimated Low quality pen.
This nib is a fantastic pen Ideal for italics Cursive script writing. So I am going to use it temporarily on this pen until I find a waterman body.

@Chritof. Thank you for this Very very beautiful Image .
It is majestic , specially your Pen photos are unique. ( I think you are using a VIEW CAMERA !!!!) So well done.
It makes big different " when you are the photographer. the artist ,the stylist , the editor. No doubt, you are the boss and the producer in a different level. I am a photographer but sadly I do not do macro photography and product photography.
But ,I think it is a great idea to put all your pen photos and your beautiful Sketch of pens and writing into a nice book together with the writing history. I'll buy that book !!! Congrats on your work..

Thank you for the ideas to find a good Desk pen for this nib!!

Thank you for the kind words Cyril.
But actually, I am using just an old Nikon D80 and a micro Nikkor for most of my pen photos.

Waterman Red nibs vary in their attributes. Some are more firm and others are more flexible. I've found the Brown nibs vary as well. Both sometimes defy their original Waterman description.
