    Default Montblanc Thread Sealant Cleanup

    Hi All,

I have a Montblanc 149 that I just acquired that looks like a bit of thread sealant maybe leaked out from the nib collar on to the grip of the section. Is there any easy way to clean this off or polish it off without having to try and employ any heat?

I would only use a Montblanc cleaning cloth or a Sunshine cloth to try to polish out the mark. Nothing more harsh. Definitely not heat. Those collars can easily break.
In fact it might be that if you aren't the first owner of the pen then someone might have already replaced the collar because it broke.
