Did they give a reason? Or just never got back to you?

The latter. Been 73 hours since the message and somewhere in the middle he posted another selling post. It's suspicious.
Not answering quickly isn't exactly the most common sign of a scammer.
I note that they've been a member here for three years.
Even well meaning people miss seeing messages sometimes.
He was slow to get back to me but seemed forthcoming
Looks like I got impatient. How do I delete this?
I don't post much here so I'm fine in saying that this thread is BS! How dare you attempt to destroy a members reputation because they didn't send you pictures or respond quickly enough!

Calling someone a scammer on these boards is a serious accusation and should require far more evidence than a slow response time. It’s fair to point out issues, like a slow response, but unless you have actually evidence of fraud you should let people draw their own conclusions.

Press Edit Post then at the top of the next page select and check Delete this Post then confirm Delete on the right hand side.
Do this for all of your posts in the thread that you wish to delete. It may not work on the original post, but you can try it first and if it doesn't work just delete all of the text on the first one and type deleted instead.
If you can't delete your first post you could send a report to the admin by reporting it and ask if he will delete it.

How do a scammer make some profit if he/she doesn't reply to a potential buyer/victim who gives him/her the money?
I think we all agree (including the OP) that this was a premature and unwarranted post / thread.
But comments such as this are equally unwarranted and add to the unfortunate reputation of this site (FPG) as an unpleasant place and a site to be avoided.
Clearly, this is not evidence of a scammer but, they are here. There was good documentation of one such individual presented in a very constructive conversation on another pen site about a month or two ago. Fortunately, I smelled that rat and stayed far, far away. But, he's still around and continues to post.

I have had buyers who reply to my message after more than a week. Shall I make a thread about them too?
No edit and no apology yet. Weird how energetic some people are with claims and blaming, but rarely with the opposite.
Edit: the original poster has fixed it.

I think an apology is in order to the member known as now and maybe to the forum in general. The OP did not state money had changed hands so there is nothing suspicious about a delay in responding to an inquiry. We all make mistakes but how we respond to the mistakes really matters. Not apologizing for the error is speaking volumes.
