I had a package sit at JFK for three weeks last month. Finally, it got sent on to Japan. Corona has fucked global freight as well as eveything else.

Hmmm...Baltimore, MD has customs? Didn't know that...
But why would something from Rhode Island need to go through customs?
Everything i've gotten from out of the us has gone through customs on the west coast in the matter of a week.
Bizzarely, the stuff going through NYC only took a day.
I'm wondering if they lied and said it had moved on to the next stations in the path while it's REALLY still sitting back at customs in NYC. And they keep sending BS messages saying that the packages are on their way to the next point because they can't actually deliver the package because it's still in friggin NYC.

When I say "advanced" I'm hoping for both...faster AND more reliable. I just want to get the things I pay for in a decent timeframe.
I don't have a clue how to make the USPS better, but the only way it can get worse is if it stops completely.

I can't buy anything CONUS or OCONUS without it taking a month or more to be received.
I'm just tired of it all...I know complaining isn't going to change anything, but it does feel better getting this off my chest.

Oops. Never mind. I was thinking of another's transaction with Italy.

I've had packages look like they're sitting in the system - either Canada Post, or USPS. That's what it looks like on tracking, but I'm pretty sure it's actually customs, which has nothing at all to do with either system. Both postal systems are very competent and generally pretty quick. Covid has thrown a stick in the works, but I'm surprised at how often they're as quick as usual. Christmas is worse than covid.

However, it's amazing how impatience can distort one's perception.

If such is the case, they need to get their disparate systems communicating properly...
This makes me want to never order a damn thing ever again. Especially with the packages from within the US that are held up in baltimore too.
Why is something I bought from Rhode Island stuck in baltimore for almost 10 days now?
    It doesn't add up.

Very true about perception, however, the only perception I have is one of an empty hand and lighter wallet.
    They don't match up.

I was wondering if anyone else had experienced this. I bought a fountain pen for approx $250 from Zona900.com and they had shipped the pen (lovely vintage green and gold celluloid pen) from Italy here to USA. I received the package but there was no pen in it. It had just like a cardboard box which would've protected the pen but there was no pen. There was a slit to the one of the sides of the package, so perhaps someone stole it? I don't know but i was very disappointed that i received an empty package.

I did contact Zona900 and they said if pen was stolen in Italy then they can do refund but if stolen in USA then no refund. Is this a fair policy? I do think that it is a shame if i have to cover the cost of a pen that i never recieved. Payment was made by paypal.

I was just wondering what you guys would recommend in this circumstance or if you experienced something similar?

Heres a picture of the pen: https://imgur.com/a/HsUMW4d

    Thank you for your help

    Since reading Paolo's response https://www.fountainpennetwork.com/f...omment=4371437

Please explain how you came to write the above and why.

I asked the same question over on FPN.

    Look forward to your answer.

    Thank you,

    Fred

I don't think it's fair to put Zona900 in the title when the issue is with PayPal.

[B]Actually Asif the OP has no beef with PayPal....Pen was delivered ... received and 12 days later claimed pen was not in package[.
It would be appropriate for the OP to respond...Why the Cock and Bull Story? ... that was posted here and FPN.

His stone cold silence ever since it was exposed that he failed to disclose some essential facts in his original post is enough for me. The dots in his game are very close together and easy to connect.
