    Default Nakaya newb weight question

Hello everyone. I'm debating over what to get for my first Nakaya pen.

I am debating between a dorsal fin 2, like this: https://www.nibs.com/pens/nakaya/nak...-heki-tamenuri

    And a 17mm portable, like this: https://www.nibs.com/pens/nakaya/nak...-kuro-tamenuri

Now, nibs.com says that these two pens have a roughly 10gram weight difference, with the dorsal fin coming in at a heavier weight.

My question is: is this 10 gram difference just in the caps of the two pens, or is the weight difference distributed throughout the entire pen?

This is important to me because I like a heavier pen for writing. So, if the difference between the two is just in the cap, then that will open up more Nakaya options for me.

So, what say you? Are these two pens basically the same weight uncapped? Or is there a difference?

    Thanks!

My DF2 (Suzu-ishime ishi-me kanshitsu) is slightly heavier than my 17mm portable (shu unpolished) not noticed until i actually went to check it out. The body of the DF2 is also slightly heavier then my 17mm portable body. YMMV, my pens have different finishes so this is not an apples to apples comparison,
