Default Mystery Ink #32 and Mystery Ink #33

The Second wave of Covid-19 is now in Europe and Great Britain, while here in the US we are experiencing a dramatic surge in our First wave (which really never disappeared due to hotspots in many States.) As day-light hours decrease and Covid-19 numbers increase, I think it is even more important now to share a little color and fun amongst us.

And so without further adieu, Mystery Ink is now open to FPG veterans, n00bs, newbies, and lurkers. You volunteer, I send free ink, you write with it and post your thoughts and observations. Guessing is welcome, but not required. There is nothing to "win" aside from perhaps personal satisfaction that you recognized it. No guess is confirmed until the mystery ink is finally revealed. The point of the mystery ink threads is an unbiased review. Fear not about the quality of your handwriting or sketching abilities. We don't care. We are all appreciative of those with the gift of artistic ability, but how well you draw or write doesn't impact your ability to test an ink and provide your opinion on it.

I will act as the Procurer, Packer, and Post Office Porter. This ink flight will consist of 1 packet containing 2 inks, each vial filled with 3mls of Mystery Ink labeled MI-32 and MI-33. There will be 10 packets available and only 2 of the packets will be for overseas participants due to the high cost of postage ( US$14.50/each ). If you are international, please let me know. If there are more sign-ups for overseas participants than slots, then I will run a Random Number Generator to pick.

The inks in this ink flight are dye based, not pigmented, no shimmer and not iron gall. I don’t use any of the Noodler’s Bay State inks, so there won’t be any in the ink flights I send out.

Post below if you would like to volunteer to receive a free ink flight. I'll leave this open until 12 Noon PST Wednesday November 4th. All packets will post on Saturday November 7th.

I think we will have a small open mail ‘window’ between the end of the US Presidential elections and the start of our Black Friday holiday sales.

Covid-19 Precautions -- For everyone's safety, ink samples will be prepared using a face mask and gloves. Ink Packets will be put together with a face mask and freshly washed hands. ( Sorry, but it's impossible to use sticky tape with gloves on... )

Until then, stay Safe and Healthy.
    All the Best.

I'm in now that family issues have calmed down and I would be able to participate like I have in the past and like I truly wanted to.

But I'm only in if I'm not taking the spot of someone new to this amazing opportunity and fun.

I'm in Canada. And I've had the pleasure to participate twice. I'm game only if there are slots available.... Thanks junglejim....

People, don’t be shy, use the opportunity to play if Jim is so generous to host another round.
    Itˋs fun. 👍

    Hello everyone.

The ink flights for MI #32 and MI #33 are now closed.

This time we have just 3 participants for this round.

I still have the addresses from the last round, so the ink flights will all be mailed out on Saturday.

This will be last Mystery Inks for 2020. Thank-you all for participating!

    All the Best.

Hi Jim, just in case you would like to have an additional scribbler (because just 3 sounds a bit meager), I wouldn’t refuse to play. 🤪

Sounds like this one might be kind of interesting, I really wish more would have participated but I still can't wait and am always grateful for the opportunity, it's just so much fun even if your closer to a newbie like me and don't know a bunch of inks. It gives a great way to learn along with the fun.

That is a disappointing number. I deliberately didn't enter in order that other International members who haven't done it before might step up.

I wanted to do the same. But decided to participate if and only if there were not new players. It's so much fun

Got my mystery inks in today and have my Aurora that I have used on all the other mystery inks I've been apart of soaking to make sure I get all the red/purple out of it (might soak it over night since its had this color in it for a while now). Thank you junglejim I can't wait to get started and from what I can tell in the vial I am probably going to like these inks

Give us a little sneak peek?
    What colors are they?
    Dark or pale?

I think these will make for nice hand written quotes in the script that you write in
