In my Aurora it wrote kind of wet on any paper I tried but that pen seems to write wet with anything except one diamine ink that I had. Even after the Aurora sat for 3 to 4 days it just barely had a hard start and then went straight to writing fine, it was a little lighter in color before the flow really got going. That's the nice thing about this hobby every pen and ink are different in their own ways.
My Aurora actually broke, the threads that hold the barrel on completely came off one day when I uncapped it and I love the pen so much I have glued it back together twice just to keep using it, I call it my goldilocks pen haha

Today I'm reviewing junglejim's Mystery Ink #32.
It's a blue leaning green ink that doesn't feel particularly dry but isn't particularly wet either. My Moonman C2 pen was a brand new pen that had never been filled before so when it "blobbed ink" a couple of times, I knew it could be forgiven as that would not be a problem with the ink or the pen. maybe I should have flushed it first. Therefore mea culpa.
I didn't find this ink a yellow leaning ink but more of a blue leaning ink.
I enjoyed writing with it in my Rhodia Dot Pad but I have a feeling it will be even better on Tomoe River paper and I will try that next.
One other thing I noticed: I had to get out the Lava soap to get this off of my hands. I had already tried two washes with liquid soap and they didn't remove it.

Edited to say I spotted the mistake of "inkdropper" in my example that should have been "eyedropper"

There are roumors that Jim likes Startrek, space ships and that kind of stuff.
So I´ve drawn a Klingon bird of prey cruising in space on qui vive for his next victim.
Hope you like it Jim

For drawing MI#32 is not a bad ink, the achievable contrast is quite ok and sufficient.
It water resistance could be a little bit higher, meaning on one side it plays well with water, but details are washed away really easily.
When washed I´ve noticed that the green is really fast washed away and only a grey line remains.
So sometimes what remains after a wash appears as grey.

I didn't want to insult any Klingon speakers and have them at my door step without masks, during a pandemic

Buy the way, Ptero, how did you do the stars, it reminds me of marshmallows, and it makes me hungry
Ggggggggggggggggg
I used dots of masking fluid before I flooded the background with Mysterious Blue.
Afterwards removed the fluid again and decorated some with a brush with color.
The tiny white ones I splashed with a brush onto the paper (covering the ship with a piece of paper) using white India ink.
I don’t know how other handle this in a less messy way than I do, but whenever I do this I have white dots all over my desk.... on my monitor, my keyboard, my notebook, my leather blotting pad,.... short on all things on my desk.
And this white ink is nasty to remove especially from leather and even the keyboard.
.... already accepted a white sprinkled keyboard and leather pad........
I think others using also a tooth brush, but I can’t imagine that this is really less messy.....

Wow. That's a very nice effect. I really like it!
You can do what house painters do. Put a drop sheet/ plastic. Do your splashing and off you go, but then you know it
But I guess by that time, you don't want to be bothered with that, and hope your stuff will be immune....
Wow Ptero, that's a really fantastic drawing of the Klingon B'rel Class Bird of Prey. I'm honored! A lot of hard work went into that. Many thanks!

This time I tried to draw/paint a water moccasin snake as realistic as I can using only 2 colors, green and white.
I know this snake is brown in reality but as I currently test MI#32 I made it green
I´m quite ok with the result.

Here are my next Mystery ink #32 and #33 writings.
All done on Tomoe River 52gsm paper.
I really enjoyed writing with both inks as they were both well behaved.
I decided to use the green ink for my Montblanc calligraphy lesson that I copied out specially.
Edited as I thought the session was going to be Cyrillic when I joined, but it was all Egyptian.

Chrissy, I really enjoyed your 32 review. It's very playful
However, I'm a bit confused. Where is the Cyrillic script, I can only see Egyptian hieroglyphs..

Has someone guessed #32? Are we cleared to post #33?
We don't usually guess what either ink is until the end. That's what we did in mystery inks #30 and #31. You can post writing samples of either of them whenever you want
