I stick to my initial guess that MI#32 is Private Reserve Ebony Green.

I will continue posting some MI#32 pieces until moving to MI#33.

Since I called #32 Christmas Tree Green, I have to call #33 Santa Suit Red. It’s a little more vibrant than I usually go for, but the more I used this ink the more I liked it. The ink is very well behaved in the different pens I used – not too dry or wet. And it cleaned out of the pens nicely, a big plus for me since I change inks often.

    Rhodia 80 g/m2 from a Dot Pad:

Tomoe River 52 g/m2: I know ink color changes based on the paper used, but with this one I was surprised how much different it was between these two papers.

Color swatch matches Mystery #33: Obviously I don’t have much in my inventory that could be considered a close match.

Chromograph: pretty much just red, I didn’t pick out any other flavors.

Feathering on copy paper was shockingly almost non-existant.

    Bleed-through was minor on Rhodia

..but slightly more on the Tomoe as expected

    and terrible on photocopy paper

Good luck with everyone’s guessing, I certainly don’t have a clue but hope my exercises might help you figure it out. Thanks again junglejim for providing us such a fun set of mysteries.

You are so amazingly gifted with your drawings and your spencerian writing. I so wish I could draw more than stick figures. Much respect for your talents.

We don't usually guess what either ink is until the end. That's what we did in mystery inks #30 and #31. You can post writing samples of either of them whenever you want
Sorry, but I've been out of town for the past three nights and finally arrived home last night at 2130 hrs. Took a quick shower and went to bed. You can post guesses at the end of MI#32 and MI#33 and I'll only PM you if you guess correctly. Otherwise, I'll remain silent.

Just a note that the ink reveals of MI #32 and #33 will be on 08 December, which will be 2 weeks since the last participant received their ink flight. That should give the others time to evaluate their samples.

    All the Best.

    Hi Jim,

Can we extend the deadline at least a couple of days?
I did not even started with MI#33

Sure, it is not a problem, Ptero. How about 15 December for the ink reveal if it is okay with the other participants?

Thanks a lot for your kind words, I really appreciate them, but itˋs not a matter of gifted.
    It’s a matter of practice.
Everyone can learn to draw, also you.
Just start with it, let us participate in your progress, post your pieces in the Art section.
Maybe creating a DeviantArt or Instagram or similar account will also help to get feedback on your way.
Sharing your work with others helps to keep yourself motivated and focused (valid for writing as well as drawing).

I‘m also a late starter, started only a couple of years ago to draw and improve my handwriting.

junglejim, there is an alternative in case you wanted to get it done on 8th. You could put it on as a Spoiler and then anyone who didn't want to see it at that time doesn't need to do so.

That way, anyone who wanted to get one or both inks, maybe on a special offer deal in time for Christmas, could get it if they wanted to.

    Just a possible option

First image of actual writing with MI 33, it is not quite what I would have expected after seeing the chroma that I posted

Finally I also inked up MI#33 using a Lamy 27-30 (I did not used for a too long time )

MI#33 does not have any water resistance at all.
The color tone for me is too general, yes a nice red tone, but at least for me it has too less character, too less shading.
Personally I prefer darker Reds like Red Dragon or Oxblood.
From the performance I can´t say anything bad so far, it flows well, it performs well so no reason to complain.

And to have a transition from MI#32 to MI#33 I´ve used both in the following piece.
My MI#32 sample is now almost depleted, some drops are left in the pen, but the vial is empty now.

I guess drawing alone with MI#33 will be again kind of a pain like with MI#31, too less achievable contrast.
In the drawing above I´ve used MI#32 to create the shadows.

The nikita ink I wrote has been in the pen a while and looks darker than when its fresh but the nikita ink swatch looks more purple than red, I need to do a chroma test on that ink for fun

I can say I really enjoy both of these inks and wouldn't mind adding them to my collection especially MI 33

Noodler's Nikita looks darker than MI#33. A shame it's not the right way up. Can you edit that to fix it?
