I have a bottle of Parker ink.
It's a blue ink.
But nothing is written but Parker Quink.
It has noticeable water resistance....
How is it called Parker Quink Blue?

I wonder if it became Parker Quink Blue when they decided to only make one blue? So neither permanent blue nor washable blue? Just Parker Quink Blue

It's water resistant if not waterproof... though I haven't tested it extensively
Parker Pen lists 3 colours of which blue is one.
Data Sheet says it's washable blue ink

Thanks Chrissy!
For a washable ink it's quite waterproof. This is after being 20 seconds under running water:
Paper is Rhodia

Usually a manufacturer's website would be my go-to for info, but in the case of Parker... Parker actually have two blues* - Washable and Permanent. I have a hazy recollection that Permanent perhaps isn't available in North America now? Or, at least, requires some effort to source it. The label's shade of blue is supposed to tell you which is which, but that's not very helpful unless you have the two to compare. I've been down this road with Pa Weevil's bottle of Quink several years ago, as he too didn't keep the box. Could be it's Washable, but evaporation over time has concentrated it. Which can only be an improvement, quite honestly. Or it could be Permanent Blue, because it isn't. Permanent, that is. It's just less washable than Washable. I would lean towards the latter, I think, because I wouldn't really expect Washable to last 0.2 seconds in a mildly damp climate.
*Blue-Black is also, of course, blue. And has yet another shade of blue for its label in order to identify it.
In the words of Paul Simon, you can call me Al.
Thanks Weevil.
I did some more research and discovered that the washable term pertains to the washability of ink from fabric and not from paper.
I also discovered that Parker permanent is not so permanent after all.
I can obviously pour some on a cloth and see if it's washable after all but that seems to be rather extreme
I know there is a nice sheen to it when spilled.
And the reason why the ink look "vibrant" is simply because I'm using it in a vintage wet noodle. If I don't flex it's washed out characterless ink, fit for the drain
Parker always used to make Permanent and Washable Blue but I can't find a current Parker web-site that shows they still make both of them now. In my post I linked to the only Parker web-sites that came up on Google and found Parker Quink Blue. In the US that's Parkerpen.com and in the UK that's Parkerpen.com - GB Please can you point me to the Parker web-site where it shows they still make Permanent Blue and Washable Blue?

Chrissy I wrote to them, just in case. Though I don't know when or if I'll ever hear from them....

That's from Parker
Chrissy, my point was that Parker web sites are not the place to go for accurate information. It's academic in Yazeh's case anyway, as his bottle is evidently not a new one, given the "sweepy P" logo.

I went to the Parker web-site, not retail sites selling Parker products, because, like you, I thought that Parker Quink Blue came as permanent or washable. Parker themselves say that they only make blue. Newell Brands call their bottle Permanent Blue. I was trying to establish what is currently manufactured.
Yes Yazeh has an older bottle with a script P but I don't know how old that is either.

Before the Quink line was redesigned (a couple of years ago), the Washable Blue looked like this (notice "Washable" is only on the box, not on the bottle):
And this is how Permanent Blue (though we should call it just Blue) looked like:
And here are two nice reviews of those inks:
Washable Blue

The only difference between the bottles themselves was the colour of the sticker s- it was of a lighter shade of blue in case of "Washable Blue" than "Permanent Blue".
And this is how they (please notice the shades of blue on the paper packages) now look like (washable blue/blue/blue-black):

Thanks Aurore. Then according to this mine is Parker Permanent Blue
