Resistance of Ruthenium coating on ASC pens
Hello. I found there are many ASC pens with ruthenium coated on nibs. I am worried if it is easily decoated from the nib as Montblanc pens do. Can anyone tell me if it is same as Montblanc's or if it is even much stronger?
Thank you so much in advance!

Re: Resistance of Ruthenium coating on ASC pens
Hi,
I have had experience that their ruthenium plating on the body of the pen can be a bit weak. On the nib, it can easily wear if you use a metal nib removal tool that rubs against the nib. Otherwise I’ve not had a problem with wear on the nib with general use. I don’t have experience with Mont Blanc so I can’t compare.

Given their "high end" price point, I think the deficiencies of quality and post sales service at ASC is appalling.

Re: Resistance of Ruthenium coating on ASC pens
I have had pretty good customer service with them. They have been pretty responsive. There have definitely been some frustrations due to lack of attention to detail, but humans are imperfect. As long as you're willing to work with me to fix what can be fixed, I can live with it.
