Default Conway Stewart Indiana Jones Replica

I had no idea that this pen existed, I didn't even know that you could still buy a lever filled pen.

Here's the scene in the movie where the pen appears.

Its nice to see a modern lever filler replica , however you can pick up vintage Conway Stewart 58s at reasonable prices - especially the black version

This discovery came out of some asking me about a new lever filled pen, the only pen that I could think of and came anywhere close was a Conklin. I seemed to remember that there was a number of filling options on older Conway Stewarts.

Being a Connery and Indiana Jones fan I thought that this pen might appeal to others.

    Thats very good.

Even when I thought that this could be my grail pen I hadn't made the connection.

    DOH

edit, Conway Stewart should have used Grail Pen in their sales literature.

Upon receiving my one and only CS, a #84, the artful nature of the lever caught my attention especially given the industrial look of my other lever type fill pens.

Just for information: the vast majority of vintage Conway Stewarts are lever fill, most with the Waterman-like slide pressure bar. A few are the less efficient J-Bar design. There were eyedropper fillers and safety pens in the early days. They made one or two excellent button fillers, a piston filler and the Speedy Phil, a more complex arrangement that was not a great success and is not a joy to restore. And there was an early syringe filler too.
