In the mid-1990's Visconti produced 3 model finishes in its Ponte Veccho series production. This mechanical pencil is in the Pompeii finish, a beautiful aggregate of blues, oranges and other colors. The Ponte Vecchio instruments come up for sale pretty rarely, and this one is mint, or near mint. As a pencil it's not possible to tell if it has ever been written with, but there are no signs whatsoever of use. It works perfectly; the propelling action is a twist of the barrel.
