    Looks like it might be a slide action convertor, so perhaps they sought "authenticity" by hacking a Parker one? After all, they have taken the trouble to put it in a Parker box too...

    Some Indian companies made pens like this, especially a company called Wilson. It could have been an eye dropper originally, the owner was just lucky in finding a section that fitted and then bodged a converter to fit the much older section.

    The cost of the paracetomols in living with this lash up will exceed the value of the pen

    A most excellent sentence!

    Are we sure it is a Parker?

    I'm not. There's something about both ends of that barrel. Could someone have extended it so that the converter would fit? Or have they just made it from scratch?

    The pic below is a Seagull FP, Seagull and Wilson were fountain pen companies in India and used plastics that were similar in appearance to those used in Parker Vacumatics.

    This pen has a squeeze bar filler, I have also seen them as eye droppers. I think the OP shows a pen that is probably made, at least cap and barrel by Wilson or Seagull.

    The pens were badly made when new, they are unlikely to have improved with age.

    The 'vacumatic' brickwork material was also popular in Italy, coupled with a syringe filler system in the Punto Rosso pen that I have.

    My thought, as well. Exactly my thought: an example of the difference between the English and the American languages.

    Paracetomol = acetaminophen?

    "This lash up" = a splendid English variation, one I'll try to use on my unsuspecting neighbors

    Yes paracetamol is acetaminophen in the US. Most common brand is probably Tylenol

    They were trying to sell this for a price of an authentic Parker Vac, hopefully no one falls for this.

    The Indian crafters are clever. I have a P51 that has a brass piece crafted by someone in India that allows the P51 Aerometric to be converted into a C/C pen. It works. Coincedentially, I am using the same converter type in that P51. Ron Zorn says the ink will ruin the brass fitting. Well, you lose the Collector in making this conversion. I did it just to see what it was about.
