    Default Glass Fountain Pen

I’m looking for a glass fountain pen (basically a glass dip-pen style nib that is built into a fountain pen body so a cartridge or converter can be used for a steady ink supply). I’ve seen reviews of them by Yaching Style in Japan, but I can’t find a website or way to order them from here in the US.

Anyone know of any makers of glass fountain pens who have websites?

    Thanks in advance!

All the ones I've seen have been vintage. That's not to say they may not be available somewhere.

That’s perfect — thanks! For some reason I can’t actually purchase any of these pens, though, just look at them in detail. Will have to try later in a desktop (as opposed to a mobile) browser and see if that makes a difference!

I'll duplicate here as well, there's also the ultra-cheap moonman version. This link's to ebay uk, but I'm pretty sure it will be the same wherever you are:

    https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Moonman-M...-/183405103813

Though I'm not sure whether these actually have a feed on the dip pen bit - though I suspect it could be made to work with a bit of tinkering.

Thanks for that link -- I saw something similar on Etsy as well and enquired of the seller -- the glass nib is dip only, whereas the steel nib attaches to the converter or a cartridge. The bottom of the glass nib is solid, so can't be altered to use as a feed :-(

    (P.S. -- it's a lot less expensive on eBay!!)

I was looking for something completely different earlier today, and came across this - which might be exactly what you're after:

Thank you! I actually have a Merlin fountain pen, a bit older than this one, so am very familiar with the button filler. I had no idea glass nibs were, or could be, installed on the pens. I notice the seller doesn’t ship to the US (where I’m located), but I think I will contact him/her anyway just to get more info on the pen itself.

There are quite a few vintage pens that sported a glass nib. The German brand 'Haro' springs to mind. Most of those I've seen have been from Germany.

Thanks for that referral! Looks like the nib was added later to the vintage pen. Good price, though!
