Hoping Santa treated everybody right to make up for the crazy year.

Always wanted a (at least somewhat functional) family. Never got one. Made one myself. This Christmas was the best one yet in my life - I spent it cozily with a family of my own, for the first time.

I'm not big on presents, I just asked the wife for a shaving soap. My daughter and wife got a ton though. Probably went overboard. Hopefully I made someone smile with a hefty donation to the local animal shelter as well.

What a terrible year, but Christmas was the best one yet for me. I sincerely hope everyone had the best holidays possible. And if your Christmas was shit, hang on there. I had to wait 31 years for a nice Christmas, but it did eventually happen!

It's been a very relaxing end to the year here. Spent best part of 3 weeks with my wife at our alternate home. The upside and downside is that it is only the two of us. Upside because we hadn't spent more than 3 connected days at a time together throughout 2020, the downside because both our remaining families are overseas.

Looking at the stuff going on globally, one can hope that the only way is up.

I hope the road is straight, we may have some ups and downs, there may be dark clouds for some but let is hope that we all make it to the end of the journey
