    Default Waterman Ads from 1917

We were visiting my in-laws’ cottage and found two really neat Marines Magazines with Waterman ads on the back. Imagine the excitement people felt at Christmas getting one of these black hard rubber pens in their stocking!

I only have one of these ancient pens, which I am yet to restore.

I thought you’d enjoy seeing these as fellow Fountain Pen Geeks. Happy New Year!

“...ink wells and pencil sharpeners are not a part of their kits” is a clever advertising phrase.

That struck me too, but I couldn't help but think that every man jack of them probably had a knife, so why would they need a pencil sharpener anyway?

Thanks for posting, Radonactionservices. Always enjoy these old adverts.

It's fun to see the ads and then the real pens.
    Ptero those are lovely pens.
I guess can guess the price, of how much they cost then
