    Default Pen Identification

I’m trying to figure this pen out. The clip is stamped “SAFETY” with “14k gold inlay” stamped on large cap band. The nib is stamped “unbranded 14k”. It’s a lever fill pen and quite large.
    Any ideas?

Likely not 14k. Look closely at the nib an you may see something partly covered by the section like filled or plated. The lower tier pens often tried to make folk thing the furniture or nib was gold and stay just barely legal.

Safety is the brand name of the pen. I've come a cross a few of them. Sometimes they have gold plated nibs, other times 14kt warranted nibs. Kinda hit or miss. Hard to tell from you picture, though. Worth taking apart and cleaning up or having fixed up professionally, though, imo.

This is a third tier pen designed to resemble a Parker Duofold.

    At 125 I'd pass.

Holy cow. Yeah, totally missed the price on that. Hard pass at $125.

He has it marked at that, but said he’d do $60. I’m still going to pass
