Listing some pens for sale today, I started taking some photos. The first ones were really bad. Bad focus, harsh light, reflections, just ew. I knew I could do much better:
you can see the pen, but that is a bad photograph.
Using what I had to hand, here's the setup I came up with for today's snaps:
A donut box with white interior, a nice-enough looking notepad, and an LED light in a wax paper bag. I used my 5-year-old Samsung S7 to take the photos.
The light was a freebie somebody brought to the shop one day. It's been very useful ever since.
The results are much better. I'm no photo pro, but a little knowledge goes a long way.
you don't need a lot of space or pro gear to get passable pen photos!
