Default Can a LeGrand rollerball be ‘upgraded’ to a fountain pen?

    Hello all,

I have a Meisterstück Solitaire Blue Hour LeGrand Rollerball.

My question is, can this be changed to the fountain pen version? Going by the MB website the dimensions of the two are identical. The cap and the body look the same. Is it just a matter of buying the nib? If so, how do I go about doing this?

    Thanks,
    Peter

It's not possible to change the RB to a FP at all.

If only it were an option they offered (a C/C section for the RB)
Omas lover, and have a few other pens

I don't think they even do a C/C section in that size.

I remember once asking if they could turn a 147 into a 146 and that was a resounding no too.

C/C pens lend themselves to this kind of thing. A piston filler fountain pen, though, has no path from a rollerball. Rollerbal has no blind cap. You'd have to acquire piston filler parts or a section for a cartridge or converter. What's the motivation for a company like Montblanc that probably takes a dim view of such conversions -- cheapens the line, not high end enough.
