Default Visconti Limited Edition Pininfarina Fountain Pen

Just saw this.... Wow!! Could be my new grail pen. The video only shows the rollerball. I would choose the fountain pen. I can't find much else on it online... I'm such a sucker for cool mechanisims (sigh) I bought the Metropolis for that reason too...

Looks uncomfortable to use as a rollerball. I find that design decision baffling. But if that was a CAP that came off with a regular section and nib that would be an interesting pen.

I can say that Pininfarina is very awful. If I buy this kind of stuff, I prefer the Pilot capless.

I can appreciate the artistry with this creation, but do not find myself drawn to it. For $1295 I would rather have a Carbon Fiber Dream or several other pens they've had out for awhile.

It would definately be more than I have ever spent on a pen so far. And with my budget it would be a while before its part of my collection. I do tend to gravitate to the unique in what I collect and use as pens. Some people love Mont blanc yet, I can not get excited about them.

Although design wise it is very different from the Lamy Dialogue 3, the Pininfarina does have a similar appeal to me. It would spark a conversation and stimulate people talking about art, design, writing etc...
