Default FS Nakaya Dorsal Fin V1 in Awai Murasaki

Today I have a gem up for sale, a Nakaya Dorsal Fin V1 in Awai Mursaki. This finish has been discontinued and the pen is beautiful. Unfortunately I have too many pens and some have to be cut.

14K Soft Fine Mottishaw nib recently tuned by Gena Salorino of Custom Nib Studio.

I'm looking for $1550 OBO. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Nice pen but to be honest imho I can’t imagine that the structural integrity of this nib is still given, this look more than crippled with this insane cut

I disagree. The extra cost flex treatment is a well known modification regularly offered by expert nibmeister John Mottishaw and has stood the test of time. I have never heard of a structural failure in one.

This is a discontinued and highly desired finish.

    Thanks for your post.
Yes I know ,I saw this kind of mod already, still I would be concerned (and aesthetically it does not appeal me), already modded nibs by myself.

I like the cut outs on the nib/modification. Cool pen, good luck with sale!

That's a perfectly common mod to this nib. I'm not aware of any complaints about its longevity. I think concern about that is completely unwarranted.

Everything about this pen is perfect. Including the highly sought after nib mods. If I could afford it, I’d be all over this pen. The discontinued color is my favorite as well

If I'm not too late to ask, who did the modification? Was it John or Gena?
M: I came here for a good argument.
A: No you didn't; no, you came here for an argument.
M: An argument isn't just contradiction.
    A: It can be.
M: No it can't. An argument is a connected series of statements intended to establish a proposition.
    A: No it isn't.
M: Yes it is! It's not just contradiction.
A: Look, if I argue with you, I must take up a contrary position.
M: Yes, but that's not just saying 'No it isn't.'
    A: Yes it is!
    M: No it isn't!

Not a problem! This one was done by John, and tuned up by Gena recently.
