Default More great work from Ron

Shout out to Ron at mainstreet pens. I just received my pens and they came out better than I could have expected:

1920's Conklin Crescent Filler on the left. On the right late 40's/early 50's Tuckaway. Those two were in decent shape when I sent them, though the work he did is evident.
The Triumph (WWII era) in the middle, though, is proof positive of the quality of his work. It was in rough shape. We thought the cap band was corroded and would never be shiny again. It was fairly dull and frankly the least liked of the three. My girlfriend and I debated spending the money on it right now.
Just wow. I'm glad that we made the decision to send it to Ron. He polished it up and found silver under the chrome. It has returned beautiful. Fantastic work and a more than reasonable turnaround.
When the lady gets out of work we're gonna ink them up and give them a go.
    Cannot thank Ron enough.

Your taste is quite similar to mine when it comes to '00-'20 Conklin crescent-fillers and '40s Sheaffer conical-nib plunger fountain pens. I'll deal with the Conklins, but the plungers go to Ron.

Honestly, I didn't particularly care for the Triumph. I found it with the Tucky and the guy gave me a good price on both of them. The Triumph was in poor shape and just looked grimy overall. I didn't really see it for what it could be. The before picture was taken after I tried to polish the body up a little. Of course I didn't really put that much effort into it. But it is a beautiful pen.
I had to own a Conklin because Mark Twain was an idol growing up.
