I can't be the only one...for relaxation, I like to watch movies or shows, you know the dumb Hollywood ones, that you can watch without really watching or paying much attention. And I write what I hear, just to relax and practice writing a bit.

Anyway, here's me, watching beginning of season 2 of X files.

Nice. I do something similar. Since I don't do TV and listen to music instead, I'm left with the gibberish in my head - and that's what I write. Total garbage mixed with bits of alphabets.

Sounds comparable does your pen keep up with your thoughts? Maybe I'm all over the place with my thoughts, but my pen usually doesn't keep up with the chaos in my mind. I do notekeeping pretty much only for my job, I find it gives me a better overview of what I need or want to do, versus digital notes.

Not really. My thoughts are way too fast and mostly not words. But words swirl out of that cloud. For example, "The quick fox jumped over the dog which couldn't get over itself" and "there are different levels of perhapsness and maybe that applies in this case". And on and on.

Just writing words I hear on the phone or come to my mind right at that moment.

Sometimes I scribble also, but more often writing (scribbling detracts me more than writing, I know that some colleagues continue working during telcos, but this detracts me so much that I can’t follow the discussion anymore).

I do this as well! For same reason - I can't work and follow the conversation at the same time, but the meetings are often not engaging enough to require my full attention.

I used to do something similar, but a little different: translate films. You’d have to work off the actual movie, so i’d sit in a screening room and translate what i heard.

Omg I've got to get some of that ink! BEAUTIFUL!!!
The cartridges are more appropriate for me than the expensive decanter...yikes!
