The example pictured above is beautiful. If it were not for my age-imposed effort to not acquire more 'things', I would definitely want one.
An Observation: The pin locking system to secure the side drawer is ingenious, especially since attempting to carry it by the handle would be instinctive.
Yep. I only just saw this site referenced on Facebook and haven't had a lot of time to look at all the examples, but saw enough, with details like the above you've pointed out, that I'll enjoy later tonight. There are objects, and then there are objects that are designed and crafted with thought and care. These are the latter, I think.

I read somewhere that the slant on these desks is perfect if you write/practice with a quill. SO as an experiment, I made a poor man's version, which was basically a board on top a chair angled on my desk. It worked fine![]()

I used to enjoy slanted school desks, and I am also thinking of making a “poor man’s” slanted surface to see if the allure still holds. Perhaps a 12x12 inch board with a 1-2 inch riser at the far end, crafted to gauge the incline angle and comfort on a desktop.
