    Default A very lucky find

I picked up this delicious Conway Stewart 93 as part of ebay lot (including an empty Penman Sapphire bottle, which is very handy, and a nice Parker 45 Deluxe). I expected it to be nice, but not as nice as it is - I've wanted a herringbone CS for a long time, and this one's really a bit special - and in immaculate condition.

Apologies for dust on the pics - I literally unwrapped it and took some shots - I'll take some more after it's had a little polish!

    I feel very lucky!

I suspect it's going to write beautifully, but I'll report back on that once I've checked the sac. I have a feeling it will need replacing as I don't think it's been touched for decades.

Beautiful! Is the nib alright--it looks like the tines are a bit far apart.

Just my crappy lighting! I did a quick dip test, and it's perfect - plenty of line variation and beautifully smooth. I couldn't be more delighted.

I may have to keep it

Nice. Probably worth whatever you paid just for that gorgeous nib.

    This is a lovely pen.
I have just seen a green pen of the same model.
So as I learned this pen is very collectable as it is rare. Congrats on this finding!!

The 93 also comes in a blue herringbone and there is a 'no bands' variation for the green and blue patterns. even less common. Herringbone is one of the really great Conway Stewart designs.
