    Default "Bertrams inkwell" haul...

I took the opportunity to finally visit Bertrams inkwell today. What an awesome store and such a polite and welcoming proprietor!

Picked up a few inks, to include the rare "DC Supershow-2020" ink...lol

Can't wait for the next visit!

Yes, Bertram's is quite a place to visit. I've yet to see the new location.

Kensington Maryland was a place of pilgrimage for fountain pen people, with Bert Oser's Bertram's Inkwell, the late Bert Heiserman's The Pen Haven and Mark Hoover's former La Belle Epoque all in one town. Many wallets would suffer serious damage in Kensington.

I never knew Mark had a retail shop! I always enjoy running into him at shows.

A goodly haul! I especially like Woodland Green - the best of the greens for me.

I am ABSOLUTELY LOVING the Woodland Green and Raw Sienna.
I originally intended on picking up Montblanc - Irish Green, but this is a fine fine substitute...I'll get it when they're back in stock next month.

I have one XF flex pen and one XXF flex pen.....the XF flex pen has the woodland Green and the XXF flex pen has the Raw Sienna.
I'm soooo tempted to swap the colors around but I am trying to resist the temptation...lol
The XF flex pen gets past 2.1mm when fully flexed and I'm soooo tempted to swap the inks around to see that beautiful spread and shading in the raw sienna.
(I knew I should have reversed the colors...lol)
