Was looking for a Pelikan, but the shop had an Aurora Ipsilon Gold inked and I tried it: love at first write, so to speak.
Well-balanced, very firm and consistent line, and smooth beyond belief.

That should be one of the gold nibs right?
I just inked my first Aurora this week, an Optima O Sole Mio (image here https://www.vtlshop.gr/en-gb/penshop...e-mio-997-naob ) and I am amazed by the smoothness of the nib!
Very smooth out of the box, although I have to say I expected the broad nib to be a bit broader. What kind of nib did you get?

Gold nib, Fine. I would call it medium fine, as it has a nice weight to the line. But it's ideal for writing letters.
It's a beautiful pen, for sure.
