Default Pilot 823 nib/feed collar stuck

I have a pilot 824 and the nib/feed collar is stuck in the pen. The nib and feed will pull out, and will spin freely when I attempt to unscrew the nib collar, but the nib collar remains stuck inside the pen. Any recommendations on how to remove it from the pen?

A good soak in warm-hot water with a couple drops dish detergent- overnight.
If that does not work try warming up with a hair dryer

Warm water, never hot. Dawn dish detergent is preferred. These should pull straight out without too much difficulty, though you may need a grippy pad to get some traction.

The collar itself is glued into the section

Right. In other words, this pen does NOT use a screw in nib unit, but the feed and nib are pushed into place and held by friction fit. If you are turning them around, trying to unscrew something, you are likely putting wear on the parts, which is not a great thing to do.
