FS: Pelikan 400NN (Vintage, Brown Tortoise, 14C M Nib)

For sale is a vintage Pelikan 400NN brown tortoise fountain pen with a 14C M nib. The general condition is very good. The cap has typical wear (light scratches and scuffs) from age and normal use. There is also a three letter monogram personalization. ("AME") on the cap but it is covered by the clip and can only be seen when you look at the pen from the sides. To my eye, the tortoise shell barrel looks to be in even better condition. It has micro/very light wear, but the transparency is excellent. There are some water drops inside the barrel from cleaning seen in my close-up picture of it. The cap band and finial appear to have little or no brassing/plating loss. The clip does have some, but still presents very well. The M nib is a more recent nib and dates, I think, from the late 80s or 90s. It wrote well in my limited use of it, but without any real flex. The piston filling mechanism is in working order and moving up and down the barrel very smoothly. Vintage Pelikans can have issues with the section shrinking, but I was able to unscrew the nib unit and screw it back in without any issue.
