Some family history
I just posted some vintage watches on the flea market page, and in so doing, I came across a photo of my Grandfather's watch (which I have no plan to post for sale). It's kind of cool.
Its an 18-size full plate 17 jewel "PS Bartlett" made by the American Watch Company in the late 1800s. According to legend, it was my grandfather who carved the stand for it, but I was not around at the time to verify that (he died in 1932 at the age of 87 and was of an age to be in the latter part of the Civil War).

Re: Some family history
Thank you for sharing this!
I also kept the pocket watch of my grandfather. I will take a picture when I find it.

Re: Some family history
For my family traditions are very important, especially during holidays. We love decorating with balloons, they add such a festive touch. Hello Kitty balloons have become a staple in our celebrations. I found a great selection here: https://balloons.online/licensed-bal...itty-balloons/ These balloons make our family gatherings even more special and create lasting memories.

This is the watch that my father left me. An OMEGA Seamaster from 1952:

Re: Some family history
...and to finish my watch family history:
This is the watch I bought almost 30 years ago. At that time I was a young man and the Rolex brand was known for very good and above all robust watches. Today, as Rolex has become a luxury brand and watches have become status symbols, I feel almost ridiculous with this watch on my wrist. That's why I hardly wear it any more and will soon be giving it to my son.
But I will definitely keep the Parker 105 , which goes very well with this watch. It is an excellent fountain pen with an amazingly consistent design in my opinion.
PS: Apologies to Doctox for hijacking his topic.
