    Default Bird Feeder Ink

I ordered Diamine Steel Blue ink from Amazon, but was mistakenly delivered a bird feeder.

Should I melt it down and pour it into a Pelikan? Has anyone tried this?

I think by the end of the saga, you'll have both feeder for your birds and ink for your feed.

As if there are people in this world sad enough to spend their time on a message board for bird feeders......oh.

You pour the ink into the bird feeder, then feed your Pelkans from it.

Thanks for the fantastic feedback everyone.

I did finally receive the ink today! So I took Wile's advice and poured it into the bird feeder.

And who needs a Montblanc when you've got a bird feeder?

I have actually spent time on bird forums. Mostly exotics, as I have a parrot and have kept several of them over the years..but wild birds are big too. People are really into them. I have one feeder, and fill it pretty religiously, though I’m not a fanatic or anything. I do like birds, I like feeding them, and watching them, and I get excited if I see an unusual one and I’ll look it up and learn about it. Aaand....I have a Squirrel Buster feeder. Best feeders out there, they last forever, worth every penny - though not entirely squirrel proof. Those little f*****s are smart, they figure a way around everything eventually.

Squirrels never bother my feeders: 50 lbs. millet + 50 lbs. safflower + 20oz. pepper flakes Tree-rats may not like it while the birds happily eat. I simply copied the ingredients of an over-priced squirrel-proof brand.

Well. This would certainly be cheaper than my current squirrel distraction method, which is throwing 50 pounds of roasted peanuts on the ground every day. Thanks for the tip, I’ll try it.

Add 50ml of Diamine Steel Blue for that extra kick!

You're too nice. I grow Trinidad Moruga Scorpion, 7-Pot Dougla, and Bhut Jolokia. What I don't use in a year gets used as squirrel repellent in the garden. No more half eaten tomatoes.
