Sheaffer Valiant vacu-fil, circa 1948, brown with gold plated trim and clip. Sheaffer calls this color burnt umber. The 14k two-tone gold nib is size fine. It is the last year of the "fat pen". This pen was serviced by Gary Berg in 2020 and is fully functional. The rod plunger fills with one stroke. This pen is in very good condition showing a few minor signs of wear on the barrel. The barrel imprint is sharp and clear. There are no nicks, cracks, bit marks.
