    Default Kaweco Dia 683

    This is a pen that I have spent a lot of time with, so why not write a short review.


    The 683 model is a pocket-friendly model. At 4-1/2 inches capped, it will happily live in your shirt pocket as you go about your business.

    It is, as many of you know, a piston filler:


    So after restoring it, I've used this pen on and off for a few months now. And I always fill it up with Pelikan Smoky Quartz.
    Super reliable, and a joy to use with its stub nib.

    And no, this Palladium nib didn't come with the pen originally. The pen was without a nib, actually, because it's part of a bulk purchase. It is interesting that it says WARRANTED and it has the Kaweco logo.

    Overall, this is a very nice pen for daily use. If there's one nitpicking point, the piston assembly is not as smooth as my Soennecken, but it's reliable with decent capacity, so I'm not complaining.
