Are you looking for fountain pens, specifically?

Have you used fountain pens much? Do you know what you like? Do you have the names of certain pens you would like to have?

Classic pens can mean different things. It may depend which meaning of classic you intend. If you want to buy, say, a Parker 45, that is one thing. If you want to buy, say, a Mont Blanc, that is something else.

The best platform may vary with the pen you want. I have purchased Parker 45s, which I consider classic, from Ebay. I never paid more than 50 USD. However, if I wanted to buy a Mont Blanc, I would probably buy it from an authorized dealer, because I certainly do not know enough to begin to be able to tell what is real and what is fake in that line, and I would not want to waste hundreds of dollars. However, other people here are more knowledgeable than I and might not hesitate, if the pictures showed them everything they needed to see.

If you are looking for pens which have a classic design but are not necessarily made by the better known pen makers, you have a world of opportunity out there. I have been hankering after this classicly styled pen on Fountain Pen Revolution myself...
