Default Pilot Ishime Urushi in Hunter Green

The Pilot Ishime is a unique and wonderfully comfortable pen with great hand feel. The body is brass that has been hand lacquered and urushi coated. The word “Ishime” is roughly translated to “stone path” which is represented on the cap and barrel in the design that is hand drawn into the wet lacquer. Artisans utilize a “”Kawari-nuri,” or unique painting, technique to give each pen a handcrafted, individual look.

The pen is equipped with a Pilot 18K gold #10 nib in Fine. Anyone who has written with Pilots knows how smoothly they write and this one is no exception. The nib is fairly stiff and writes with a typical Japanese fine line.

The Pilot Ishime is a very comfortable 136 mm long capped and 126 mm long uncapped, with a barrel diameter of 12 mm. Weight with the Con 70 converter is 37 grams. This pen has been extremely lightly used and is complete with original boxes and papers.

You can find this package sold at dealer prices from $765 (Goulet, Nibs.com, Pen Chalet) down to $612 (Goldspot, The Nibsmith)
but you can do much better right here!

Someone please buy this. I love the pen, but the nib is way too fine for me.

Hypothetically it should be easy to swap it with a #10 nib from a 742, and then sell the 742 with this F nib? (although the 742 is 14k and this is 18k)

Wile E: This Namiki Yukari Milky Way I have available also has a 10 size nib, and it's a Broad Stub. Of course, it's a little more expensive, too. :-)
