Tibaldi Iride celluloid pen and pencil set. $850 (shipped USPS in the USA). If you want to use PP merchant services, add 3%.

18k M Tibaldi nib, very smooth, tuned just right. ABS feed. Celluloid is in great condition. A little staining in the pen, but not really noticeable, especially when filled. Both the pen and pencil work well. No box (which you wouldn’t have wanted anyway, since it was made completely out of glass!). Numbered 000 on both. So, I guess that means it was the first of the line.

I think in this instance the "0000" most likely signifies that the FP & MP are / were prototypes.

I cannot comment about that European custom in terms of how pervasive it is in a situation of this nature. There are many Europeans who post frequently on FPG. Perhaps one of them might want to enlighten us. I'd be interested to know........
It is common, however, for FP manufacturers to put a "000" number on a prototype or over-run of one of their numbered editions. I believe such is the case with your set.

Out of respect for you and the purpose of this sub-forum (which is dedicated to sales) I am going to suggest we not continue this conversation here. Doing so might risk a "hijack" your sales post.
