They were healthy! I haven't dealt with vintage pens for so long that I even forgot how its wonderful and interesting! Also, today on review is a rather interesting model from the royal island, although not as well knew as Onoto De La Rue or Conway Stewart.

The Burnham pen 232F w|14ct Osmiridium nib (British made) 1935-1939

The shape of this tool is the most classic, from the beginning of the 20th century and is almost identical to the more famous Waterman 5x/7x pens - straight cylindrical but with*small cone-shaped tops. The material of the body is most likely celluloid(?), personally considering the lack of an inner cap in the cap, by red marble color, although as history says, it can be casein. The filing system is lever-filler. Cap on thread, two-start threading, closing/opening in 1.5 turns.

Hello to all fans of fountain pens and fans of real great Parker pens. Yes, yes, this is the same, one of the most famous models that made the brand famous all over the world. I already have a review of a slightly earlier, but the same model, albeit in a more famous color Parker Duofold Junior Red (not Big), but there is also a Parker Duofold Lady version in the same color..

Parker Duofold Junior in Jade Green (made in USA) ~ 1926-1929

This is the most classic form of Duofold – a straight cylinder with flat tops, the only thing is that the blind cap is narrows a little. The body material, unlike the earlier model, is already Jade Green celluloid, and of course with the discoloring disease characteristic of this type. It is interesting that this color is discoloring more than all others over time. The filling system is button-filler. Cap on thread, 3-start threading, closing/opening in 1.5 turns.

Sometimes it happens that there is a nugget in a pile of garbage, or rather not like that, sometimes can find a Swarovski in a pile of glass)). In pens I 100% prefer to nibs, a good nib is a good tool but a bored/bad nib even in a perfect body is just a toy for the eyes. So that’s(first version) what happened this time. I became interested in French pens at the beginning of my fountain pens hobby, but I bought this pen more for spare parts than for writing, but later, it turned out that it is a very cool writer.

Unbranded French DN fountain pen w|ss flexible nib (made in France) ~1940s

Sorry, I did not fully disassemble this pen, but its design is clear. As I wrote above, I bought this pen in 2017, and almost immediately repaired and tested it. Usually I take pictures of all the parts, but for some reason I couldn’t find these pictures in my database. But vintage things must be disassembled very carefully, and since I have to give it, then I did not disassemble it again for the sake of the photo, so the photo is only partial.

The body is straight, with flat end, and conical top on the cap. The body material is similar to ebonite, black, but the section and feed are plastic. The filling system is a typical lever-filler. Cap on thread, 2-start thread, closing/opening in 1.5 turns.

I received a Parker 75 nib unit from some Gold fill model, but it was sent in Ciselle body from a review which I did earlier, so I thought just add an update to the old post, even though the model is a bit younger.

Parker “75” Cisele Sterling Silver (made in U.S.A.)

The writing tools has, perhaps, a classic (for this brand of the late period), cylindrical shape, slightly tapered towards the ends and flat top. The main material of the body and cap is Sterling Silver decorated with the Cisele (sometimes also called Cicele) pattern – deep longitudinal-transverse engraving, which defines the pattern as “protruding cubes” (crosshatch grid pattern). The grip is made of black plastic, the cap on friction, with click when closed.

I know. These are degrees. It was such a development, I explained it in a full description on the link. Since the grip had an anatomical shape, it was uncomfortable to hold pen for someone with a non-standard hold, unlike most other people, so Parker did was possible to turn the nib by several degrees, which was convenient to hold and write. On the first models, there was 0 indicating the standard setting, but then it was removed through the time.

Hi! Before, I did not understand those who like vintage nibs with patina and I cleaned these nibs every time, but now I “fall in love” to it myself. So I decided to update earlier post with almost the same pen, from the same period, but with small differences.

Montblanc Meisterstück 146 (made in Germany) from 1980-1985

This tool has the same shape known to us as “cigar-like” shape named Streamlined at the time of its release. The body is made of black resin, which traditionally glows red on backlight. There is an ink window on the body for monitoring with gray tone. Cap on thread, 4-start thread, full closure in 1 turn. The base of the piston collar made from metal (brass), but internal parts are plastic, including the rod.
