Default Sailor Somiko (Young Profit) nib swappability

    Long story short:

I love the steel EF nib on my Sailor Somiko (Young Profit). But I hate the pen (transparent blue, narrow section, too short unposted). Can the nib unit be swapped into a girthier/longer Sailor pen body? Or do you know of any custom makers who might have taps that would work?

Newton would be able to make you a custom section most likely. I am not aware of anyone else who fits their pens around provided housings.

As far as I know, other sailor housings (1911, pro gear etc) don’t have the metal like collar on the housing so I doubt you would be able to transplant it. Maybe just the nib and feed, without the housing.
