Default Journa found in the attic of my old house.

I live in an old house built in 1905. It was built by the Easly family, these people were in the insurance business. I found this old journal in the attic one day and it was a promotional deal from that insurance company....the date is 1934.

I thought some of you might like to see it...I scanned it so hopefully it turns out ok.1-detroit journal front page.jpg1-journal detroit.jpg1-journal detroit date page.jpg1-132.JPG

This is the house if anyone was curious.

Money pit it may be, but you are most fortunate to live in such a lovely house. Thanks for the post.

Lovely house and a great find. My house is a few years older and a great deal smaller but it still eats money. I have no idea what is up in my attic. I bought the house a year ago and still haven't been up there.

Congrats! Your house is very nice and the journal you found is a piece of history!

I always wonder about the things we have today and how they will look like to someone in a few years.

Can you imagine the person who owned it? How he/she lived, what did for living?

    I just think that's nice!

    Thanks for sharing!

I just started looking into old journals/notebooks/diaries. It is funny you should post this as I just recently purchased a journal that seems to be an insurance agent's promotional item from 1960. I did a little research on the insurance company and the agent and it seems his family goes way back. Interesting find.

Great fine and a beautiful home. I grew up in an older home and it was a great house.
