Default Custom Barrell for a Piston Filler

With all the CNC machining going on, would it really be all that hard to have a custom barrel made for a piston filled fountain pen?

I have always wanted a copper Pelikan 400, but the pens were only manufactured in celluloid. It would be cool to have a barrel made up that used the Pelikan piston and nib units. Has anyone done anything like this?

There was someone else who made bindes for the Pelikans. I forget who it was, and they got out of the business years ago. Strip off the binde on the barrel, and make a new one. I have some beautiful hardwood dowel that I want to use on an 800 binde. I even have the barrel ready. I just haven't had time to play with it.

    Ron,
How do you separate the binde from the barrel?

Look at the pictures in the link above. Once in a while they split and come off. Sometimes you have to cut them off.
