    Default Question about Sheaffer life time pens

    So how did the life time work? Are they the same pens but with a white dot that you paid more for a warrantee?

    The white dot models are generally different. For example, there were no non-white dot OS models. White dot and non-white dot models had different nibs, different trim, colors etc.

    Ed, you DO know that Google is your friend, right? Here's a good article from noted pen collector/photographer/historian, Jim Mamoulides. The entire site, and especially the dozens of Sheaffer articles, is/are a must-read.

    The Sheaffer White Dot: 1924-Present
    "When Men differ in Opinion, both Sides ought equally to have the Advantage of being heard by the Publick;
    and that when Truth and Error have fair Play, the former is always an overmatch for the latter."
