Default Did Sheaffer ever use unbranded nibs?

I've got an old lever filler desk pen with a rather small nib marked "Warranted 14K No 1" It's the only Sheaffer I've seen with a generic looking nib. I'm thinking it's likely a replacement...

Have any of you guys seen such on a factory pen?

    cheers!

Not from the factory. A former owner modified it since manufacture.

I have a 33 that has a Warranted nib. Indeed, it was a replacement and not stock Sheaffer.

I remember when you could buy fountain pens almost anywhere and almost all of the major department, clothing and jewelers had onsite fountain pen repairs. It was not unusual for someone to get a nib replaced or exchanged while you waited and often a warranted nib was available.

We sell a lot of Sheaffers, and I've never seen one with a Warranted nib .....

I have an old Sheaffer desk pen I got years ago that has a nib labeled "Parker" and "18 K." I don't remember where the heck it came from. It's quite long and came with a pretty big sac. I have not inked it.

    In a word, nope.

Not warranted. WASP and others has their own markings on the nibs, not Sheaffer, but appropriate to the pen.
