    Default Santini Italia nibs

    Quick call for information.

Does anyone have any experiences to report regarding the cursive italic nibs that are available on Santini Italia pens? There is some scuttlebutt that they will alter the line width on request (they apparently are 1.1mm to start with), but I don't know if that is true.

Anyway, what are they like as daily writers?

    TIA

I thought you had settled on the pursuit of an MB.

At any rate, Santini are very good with communicating with customers. I would just ask them.

Just looking around. It's allowed, yes?

Edit: the other thing that concerns me is the used of the Schmidt parts for the piston filler. Converters have been known to fail, and so the concern is for what happens if this converter part fails in a Santini pen. Haven't seen any reviews that say the pen can be disassembled.

If it's a Schmidt converter and it fails, for $10 you can buy a new converter and get a cup of cawfee at Starbucks.

A.) It’s not the regular Schmidt converter

    &

B.) Even if you can find a new piston unit, can you get the old one out and the new one in?

Probably not from what I've seen on the 'Tube, and for that alone I'll probably give this brand a miss. It would be a different story if there was a dismantling tool, like you can get for Leonardo, Conid, TWSBI/Pelikan pens.

Oh, I see the tagger is back. What a pity.
